Day 8 - London 5/06/2005

Just another day at Buckingham Palace

Queen's Road

With no traffic or congestion tax on Sundays we attempted a drive through London Central which was so successful we managed to park for free all afternoon just down the road from the Houses of Parliament. Talk about deserted ghost town, the Queen was out, Westminster Abbey was shut, Tony & Cherie Blair didn’t come when I called and there were no queues for the London Eye (formerly Millennium wheel). On the way to London we also took in the Marble Arch, Hyde Park, Kensington Palace, Notting Hill and Portobello markets.
